Location and travel
Florida State University is located in Tallahassee, the capital city of Florida. Tallahassee International Airport is located approximately 7 miles from downtown Tallahassee. Other airports in the region are Valdosta Regional Airport (approx. 85 miles from Tallahassee) and Jacksonville International Airport (approx. 175 miles from Tallahassee). Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is approximately 250 miles from Tallahassee.
To go from Tallahassee International Airport to downtown, you may take a taxi or a hotel shuttle. Taxis are located at the east end of the terminal, past baggage claim. Taxi fares from the airport to downtown are approximately $20. Some options are: city taxi (850) 562-4222 or yellow cab (850) 999-9999. Some hotels have a shuttle service. Shuttles are located curbside past baggage claim.
The conference will be held in the William Johnston building (143 Honors way Tallahassee, FL 32304), which is in the heart of the Florida State University campus.
Accommodation
We have reserved a block of rooms for the conference at Aloft Tallahassee Downtown, 200 N Monroe St, Tallahassee, FL 32301. The hotel is located close to local attractions, restaurants and bars, and approx. 1 mile from the conference site. It has a free shuttle that runs in town.
